Deschutes River Ranch

Just north of the pioneer town of Tumalo, the Deschutes River takes a jog to the east on its northward journey and flows through the historic Deschutes River Ranch. Straddling its namesake river, the Ranch currently features 32 distinctive homesites set amongst ancient Juniper trees, wildflowers, rock outcroppings and wildlife.

To the west, the Cascade Mountains create a stunning backdrop to the river and landscape. Many of the Ranch’s hundreds of acres are protected by conservation easements dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of this extraordinary location.

Through other easements, homesite owners have private access to a network of meandering trails along the river and into the upland areas. As the Ranch borders the BLM’s Maston unit, homesite owners have direct access to an additional 32,000 acres of public land for their use and enjoyment.

Centrally located just ten minutes from the thriving city of Bend and 15 minutes from the Redmond Municipal Airport, Deschutes River Ranch is an accessible sanctuary in the heart of Central Oregon’s High Desert.
